Rockport PD HEAT LEVELS
Everything isn't free in Rockport. The Rockport PD are cracking down on street racers using skill and tactics to take them down and stop racing once and for all. As you engage in a longer pursuit the higher your heat becomes and with new levels comes with harder cops. As you progress through the game the faster your heat goes up. Here's a list of all the heat levels including some hidden ones and some found in the code.
HeAt level 1
Standard marked street patrol police cruisers. Very weak and can be evaded easily. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks and hitting are used. 250 bounty for each cruiser taken out. 100 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cool down extremely fast. Hiding not needed. Backup takes 3 minutes.
heat level 2
Standard unmarked street patrol police cruisers. Weak and can be evaded with little skill. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, and roadblocks are used. 500 bounty for each cruiser taken out. 200 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown moderately fast. Hiding can be used but not condoned. Backup takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
heat level 3
Marked state patrol Pontiac GTO police units. Strong and skill is needed to evade. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, roadblocks, light SUV roadblocks, rhino units, and pit maneuvers are used. 1000 bounty for each unit immobilized. 500 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown slow and hiding is suggested. Backup takes 2 minutes.
heat level 4
Unmarked state patrol Pontiac GTO police units. Very strong and excessive skill is needed to evade. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, roadblocks, pit maneuvers, spike strips, helicopters, and heavy SUV roadblocks, rhino units are used. 10000 bounty for every unit immobilized. 1000 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown very slow and hiding is heavily condoned. Backup take 1 minute and 30 seconds.
heat level 5
Marked federal patrol Corvette C6 police units. Extremely strong and veteran skill is required to evade. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, roadblocks, pit maneuvers, spike strips, helicopters, heavy SUV roadblocks, rhino units, and the Cross racing unit is used. 20000 bounty for every unit immobilized and 100,000 bounty when Cross unit is immobilized. 10000 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown extremely slow and hiding is nearly required. Backup takes 1 minute and 30 seconds.
heat level 6 (Seen at end of game and challenge 68)
Unmarked federal patrol Corvette C6 police units and heavy SUV police units. Extremely strong and exceptional veteran skill required to evade. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, roadblocks, pit maneuvers, spike strips, helicopters, heavy SUV roadblocks, rhino units, and the Cross racing police units are used. 25000 bounty for every unit immobilized and 100,000 bounty when Cross unit is immobilized. 15,000 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown cannot be achieved at end of game, and can be in challenge 68. Hiding absolutely required. Backups takes 1 minute.
heat level 7 (seen in black edition)
Heavy SUV police units. Exponentially extremely strong and skill is needed during pursuit. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, hitting, heavy SUV roadblocks, spike strips, and rhino units are used. 15000 bounty for every SUV immobilized. 10,000 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown is very slow and hiding is condoned. Backup takes 1 minute.

Standard unmarked street patrol police units. Skill is needed to evade. Tactics such as roadblocks and helicopters are used. 5,000 bounty for every unit immobilized. 500 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown is very fast and hiding is not needed. Backup takes 1 minute.
heat Level 9 (found in code)
Standard marked street patrol police units. No skill is needed to evade. No tactics are used. 250 bounty for every unit immobilized. 100 bounty every 10 seconds. Cooldown is extremely slow. Hiding is not needed as you can never enter cooldown. Heat level extremely easy and police units will only follow you. They will not attempt to bust you. Backup takes 1 second.

Cross street racing patrol units. Extremely strong and lots of skill needed to evade. Tactics such as rolling roadblocks, roadblocks, spike strips, and helicopters are used. 0 bounty for every Cross unit immobilized. 0 bounty about every 10 seconds. Cooldown is extremely slow and hiding is nearly required. Backup takes 30 seconds.
heat level 11-99 (using a trainer)
Heat level 11-99 have marked federal Corvette C6 police units. Similar to condition 5. Absolutely no difference in any of them.
